Cottenham Toy Library is a community group that aims to lend good quality developmental and imaginative toys to families in the surrounding area, whilst also providing a meeting point for parents and carers alike. We also run several extremely popular events within the village throughout the year. We like to emphasise the social aspect of Toy Library by offering free refreshments, craft activities and encouraging children to play with the toys before borrowing them during sessions. The Toy Library is a registered charity run by volunteers, who are predominantly mums or carers of young children. When?Sessions are held on the first and third Thursday of each month, between 2 & 4pm. Where? In the Salvation Army Barn (at the back of the Church) at 184 High St. Cottenham. How Much?Everyone is welcome to join and membership is £3.00 for families and £10 for nurseries for the year. Toys are borrowed for a two-week period and cost between 50p and £1 to hire. Hosting a childrens's party?Did you know that for a flat fee of just £5 you can hire as many toys as you like! We have an excellent selection of outdoor toys, ideal for any party. The sensible bitAll toys available from us comply with British Safety standards; however, to ensure safe play, borrowers are responsible for selecting age appropriate toys for their children. |
